As a performer, Sara Leib has worked with some of the biggest names in the jazz genre, and has toured all over the world as a performer and a clinician.  A natural improviser, Sara began singing seriously when she was in high school, attending a performing arts magnet and singing in every school choir group the school had to offer.  After being accepted into her high school’s vocal jazz choir, Sara found that she had a natural affinity for improvisation, and decided to take her study of the genre further.  While performing with the NARAS Foundation's GRAMMY-In-The Schools group, Leib received a talent scholarships and went on to attend the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. After graduating, Sara moved back to her hometown of Los Angeles, touring with her own jazz band, working as a session singer, and teaching.  She later found her passion for teaching grow when she received a full graduate teaching assistantship at the University of Southern California, where she graduated with a Masters Degree in 2009.

Since then, Sara has been on faculty of the Saddleback College in Orange County, Los Angeles College of Music, Musicians Institute in Hollywood (for which she co-wrote the Vocal Performance curriculum, levels 1-3 in 2010), Azusa Pacific University, Pasadena City College, and El Camino College. She has toured and taught all over the country and the world, from New Zealand, South Africa, and Nepal to New York City, California, Ecuador, and Guatemala. Sara regularly travels worldwide to give teaching workshops and clinics on singing.  She is currently on the faculty at Azusa Pacific University and Saddleback College. In 2017, Sara's company, Voice Guru, LLC, released Voxercise™, then the world's most comprehensive vocal warmup app. Sara's efforts in "making singing simple" and bringing the highest-quality voice education to the masses have been recognized by many institutions of higher learning, and Voxercise™ was endorsed by the leaders of the commercial/popular music/jazz music departments at Azusa Pacific University, the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music, and the University of Miami.

In 2010, Sara opened Voice Studio LA while at the same time launching what was at the time the internet's most interactive and easy-to-understand voice lesson website, SingingTV.com. While Voice Studio LA caters to those who are looking for one-on-one, highly individualized voice lessons and coaching, Sara's passion for teaching has made SingingTV a success, with over a million Youtube views and over 12,000 subscibers, allowing Leib to demystify singing techniques for the masses, for free. Sara has given master classes and workshops in voice and vocal improvisation internationally, twice served as a panelist for the NARAS Foundation’s Grammy In The Schools, served on the board of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association for Teaches of Singing, and has performed at the Academy Awards, been heard as the voice of a Nescafe commercial, and sung for the NBA, the WB, and much more. Critically acclaimed, The Boston Herald has said Sara “offers a fresh approach to jazz vocal classicism and the Boston Globe says she’s “got a beautiful, natural voice”.  Leib holds degrees from the Berklee College of Music, the New England Conservatory of Music, and the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.  She is also a certified teacher of Somatic Voicework™, the LoVetri method, a science-based pedagogy training, directed by Jeanette LoVetri. Leib has also completed additional training in working with transgender and the gender diverse voice.

Sara is thoughtful, energetic, and emotionally intelligent, and loves to bring her passion for music to her clients through both private voice lessons and coachings and to larger audiences through master classes, workshops, and corporate voice training.
